Advisor as a transfer

Hey, this may sound dumb but I just started thinking about transferring. If I were to apply as a transfer student, would I need an advisor to submit documents for me just like a first-year applicant or would I be able to do this myself?
kinda lost on all this lol

Hello,
A current student who has/is going through the transfer process. From my experience, having a transfer advisor is/would be very helpful esp. pertaining to institutional knowledge, finalizing a school transfer list, and if applicable fee waivers however, the brunt of the tasks are going to be done by you the transfer applicant compared to high school. You will be able to do most of the submissions by yourself except there are of course documents that must be submitted by a counselor and teachers of the classes you are currently taking at your current school i.e. college report, midterm report, and other supporting documents.
It is a lot of work so I hope you are prepared to really have to take charge for your own transfer journey and it will be allowed of managerial duties on your part (double if your applying for financial aid).
Hoped that helped
