Hey CC,
I wan't to start by saying I go to Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology. Despite what you would presume from the title, My school doesn't offer a degree in aerospace engineering. I like the school, It's close to home and everything is very personable here. However, this isn't not the place I would like to be same time next year. This school will probably be sought out in the future for it's mechatronics (mechanical and electrical) engineering major but at this time, it is not ABET accredited.
Here's what I look like on paper:
Year: Freshman
Major: Mechatronics Eningeering
GPA:3.9-- 18 credits completed during fall semester, 12 transfer credits from AP classes and bypassing pre calc, 16 credits in progress for spring semester.
I've made my presence known on campus as well. I have chartered a chapter of NSBE at the school, received a grant from the NSF, been selected to be apart of my school's leadership committee, and I was selected to represent my school at the National Conference for Student Leadership in New Orleans (Nov 2013). I play sports but I decided not to this year.
What schools should I apply to in the near future? What are my chances for aerospace engineering at SUNY UB, Georgia Tech and UIUC?
thank's for taking time out to give me feedback.

Any feedback is welcome

A 3.9 college GPA certainly looks good for transferring to a transfer-friendly school

But perhaps more important is to use the net price calculator on each school to make sure that you can afford it after financial aid grants.

Good point, I got a full scholarship to my current school. Out-of-state tuition at UIUC and Georgia Tech are expensive. SUNY UB however is

bump…
