Aerospace Engineering colleges

I need some of the BEST and almost the best college for this major please. I would like to attend to MIT for grad school because there is about 0.1% chance I can get accepted to MIT by how I'm going now. So what are some colleges that are above average?

Cal Poly is a good one. We generally do not feed students to MIT though. Generally only 1/80 graduate with a GPA above 3.75.

Well I think can do a little bit better perhaps?

just look at the top-however many you feel like in the US News rankings, and add Cal Poly...and Embry-Riddle? something like that. and the USN and AF academies, i would imagine.

Purdue, UIUC, Michigan, Georgia Tech, to name just a few. If you feel you can't get into MIT, then I guess I'd axe Caltech, Stanford, and Berkeley. I'm not familiar with any other programs (since I'm not an aero major).

And for God sakes, you don't have to go to MIT for grad school. Caltech and Stanford (probably) can serve you just as well (especially since Caltech owns JPL). And besides, you have a long road ahead of you before grad school, I would worry more about undergrad before choosing a grad school already.

Try also looking at Embry Riddle, which has an AMAZING (#1 ranked) ASE program but doesn't offer a doctorate. However, since they don't have a graduate school, this would be reason enough to apply to MIT/Stanford/etc after graduate and could aid your essays.

GaTech and Purdue

EXCELLENT --> MIT, Stanford, Caltech, UCB(only ROTC), Michigan

VERY GOOD--> GaTech, Purdue, UTexas, Virginia Tech, Cornell, PSU, USC

PRETTY GOOD--> U Florida, UCLA, UKansas, U Maryland, Texas A&M, U Colorado, Embry Riddle

GOOD--> SUNY Buffalo, U Arizona

USAF Academies are good not applicable if you want to work for a private firm or are an international student.

Penn State is ranked 13 in the nation for aero and all of the programs here are top 20. I just got here a week ago and i love it so far.

You really need to do more research about grad school. Grad school isn't like undergrad. You really need to be picking your grad school based on your research interest. And SURPRISE! MIT doesn't have professors that research everything.

Graduate school decisions should be based on professors you want to be your adviser, and not the school itself.

For undergrad, Embry-Riddle is #1, USAF Academy is #2, USNWR has the rest.
