ok well im a junior now and i want to go to college for aerospace engineering and was wondering if anyone had any experience with which college has the best aerospace program?

That is a pretty broad question and AE is a broad field. It would be easier to advise you if you were a little more specific about what you want to do with the degree as well as what you are looking for in a Univ. Remember, you are not in class all the time.

I would love to either design airplanes or work at NASA with hopes of one day becoming one of the select few chosen to get to become an astronaught. As far as what I am looking for in a college I'm pretty much open to anything really although I wouldn't want to get stuck in the middle of no where. I would prefer a big city within an hours drive. I also would like the college to offer more than just engineering because I would like to meet a more diverse group of people. Although I would love to go to CIT but I doubt I could get in.

Hysteria,
My D wants to work for NASA so that part I am familiar with.
Here are some recent CC threads on this topic of working for NASA:

My understanding is that NASA does most of its college hiring from its coop program. If you want to work at NASA, investigate each college coop relationship with NASA.
One path to astronaut program used to be through AF academy but not sure if that is still true. Review the NASA web sites.
Maybe others will have more info on aircraft design.

Well, Purdue University boasts the greatest number of aerospace engineers that later become astronauts of any university. It also has much more of an "astronautics" flavor (particularly dynamics and control) compared to other aerospace engineering departments.

Based on rankings along, MIT Aero/Astro is the top-ranked program in the nation. Georgia Tech is #2.
