The Academy allowed me to retake my CFA since i didnt do too hot on my first one. Meanwhile i had been training so i maxed out pull ups and sit ups on my 2nd one, while scoring above average in pushups and the shuttle run, and scoring average in the basketball throw. My mile time improved but it was still below average.

Do you think that the Academy is interested in me since they allowed me to retake my test, and should my overall improvements tell them how badly i want to be there?

My first test results vs My 2nd test results

pull ups 6 vs 18
push ups 42 vs 71
sit ups 80 vs 95
shuttle run 9.3? vs 9.01
bball throw 60 vs 62
mile 8:30 vs 7:40

Oh and i originally finished my application around january and then i had to recomplete my file with the 2nd test, which i completed about 2 weeks ago.

I figured i might have had a tiny edge by finishing so early, but i guess i lost it now by completing again in mid feb.

yeah, i guess unless you're on the panel you wouldnt know for sure. I've just been waiting for months and i feel like having to wait for mid-March might be worse than torture.

I'm in the same boat, Want2Fly. Well, almost. I'm about to do my 2nd CFA tomorrow because my ALO wanted me to have as much time as I could to train. So we'll see how it goes. But I'm pretty sure them having you redo it is a good sign. At least that's what my ALO said.

Congrats on the much improved scores! Hopefully I'll do just as well tomorrow...or at least the girls equivalent. But, yeah, no one can really know what the panel is going to decide. We just have to wait and keep hoping.

Thanks, i hope it is today :D. On a serious note however, do you guys remember if the letter came before the internet file updated? Or did you see on your internet account that you were accepted before the letter came. Because I check the internet account like once a day haha, and i'd like to know if i should just check the mail more often instead.

On March 1st the board closed...now they will start looking at the slate...they start handing out appts. wen each slate is completed with a WCS for ea candidate.

This truly is a puzzle they are creating. Take the candidate that has 4 noms...they might be the highest for ea, so then they have to go back and revisit ea nom source for charging the apptmt. They want to make the best class they can, but there are so many soruces that it becomes difficult. The clear cut choices will learn next week, the others may need to wait a few more weeks...it doesn't mean they are less worthy, it means they are trying to figure out how to optimize the class

Ok, now i understand. I guess i'll just wait to find out my fate. If i dont get an apptmt this year, i'm going to try next year, and maybe even the year after that, if it takes that long. Does anyone know what plays the biggest role for candidates that would be freshmen or sophomores in college? I heard somewhere that GPA means nothing, but i have no idea whatsoever. So if anyone knows a cadet that got accepted later than senior year of HS, please let me know what they did to et accepted.

And don't count yourself out yet. I was serious that it doesn't HAVE to wait untill mid march or whenever. And my status when mine came changed like a week and a half later.

Petko, this one's a little harder to solve from an OR standpoint because of the interview and personality aspect. it would be a fun project to look into tho! right after tackling the mitchell hall waste / mandatory breakfast scenerio
