Do top colleges(Ivy League, MIT,etc.) look at family income during the admission process?
If two students were applying to Harvard and had the same grades, but if one of the students' family was had a low annual income, would that student have an advantage over the other one?
Can income really make a difference in admission processes?

depends on whether or not they are need blind…if they are then they do not take how much financial aid you will require in to consideration when they are admitting applicants

They don’t know your income when you apply. Only whether you are planning to apply for FA. Harvard is a special case. With the size of their endowment they probably don’t pay attention at all. They can be need blind. I believe other schools have to go for a blend of full pay and FA students.
