This isn't a chance me thread, rather a thread asking how many percent is factored into what race you are in HYPC?

Will it hurt alot if your asian trying to apply to HYPC then being a Hispanic/African America?

Applications are evaluated by people, not computers, so you can’t put a percent on it. I would put it this way: Affirmative Action gives a modest boost to qualified URM applicants.

Which ivy universities have asians as the URM?

Some southern universities do. At the Ivy League schools, Asians are hugely over-represented.

Asians are never URM at any top tier colleges.

The above is 13 pages long. Is there something you would like to draw our attention to? Whenever I see that paper, I like to point out the following,

“Using data from the National Study of College Experience on 124,374 applications for admission
during the 1980s and the fall semesters of 1993 and 1997,”

“In this article,
using the same data, we extend the work of Espenshade, Chung, and Walling…First, what is the impact of affirmativeaction on the profile of students admitted to elite universities? And, second, to what extent do preferences
for athletes and legacies, both of whom are disproportionately white,offset the effects of affirmative action?”

to support the idea that “Asians” are never underepresented, something newer might be better.

How about this? “Selective” colleges with 7 percent or more Asian.

UCs are race blind in terms of admissions. Compare the percentage of Asians at Berkeley vs a comparable level IVY league school and then it should be obvious.

Berkeley = 45.3% Asian
Columbia = 23% Asian
UPenn=13% Asian
