Which dorm is the African American Theme Program usually housed in? I’m thinking of joining next fall. Thanks!!

what's the advantages of joining themed housing programs? is it just so you can live with ppl with same interests?

Is there a GLB housing program? Ha.

Rainbow House Theme!! =)

is there? lol. i'm a very CLEAN person, and I would hate if I get dormed with a slob...every guy I know is pretty dirty, so yeah =]

Rainbow House

Rainbow House is a community located on a single floor, geared towards students and allies of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex community who are interested in personal growth within a safe and supportive environment. The community promotes understanding about sexual orientation, gender, and other differences to enhance students' leadership skills and multicultural awareness. Rainbow House provides an opportunity for students to connect with student groups and campus resources, such as the LGBT Resource Center. Through a variety of programs and activities, Rainbow House offers a dynamic experience for students wishing to build support and community ties.

=O

Sorry for off-topic response. Couldn't resist haha.

Wow..lol. I was joking before, but sounds nice XD

It's in Regan too..haha..I want that dorm xD

African American theme program is a really nice dorm; second floor of Alder Hall; one of the newest buildings in Segundo.

As for rainbow hall, it's on 2nd floor of Paloma in Regan. Somehow people who don't even apply for it end up there.

regan dorms are the coolest :)

it is funny, because I know a ton of people on the rainbow floor right now. It consists of about 2/3 gay guys, maybe two lesbians, and the rest straight girls. But everyone I know from there is pretty cool.

I'm in the MAP (music and arts) building right now and I really like it. Everyone plays some sort of instrument and is amazingly good. Plus, it's a really diverse group. Only about 3 people are actually music/dramatic arts majors. The rest cover just about everything else that Davis offers. It's a really cool, fun, chill building to live in :)

You may get placed in these floors even if you didn't apply because not enough people applied for the theme, so they have to fill the rest of the rooms with the general pool of students.

Applying for one of these themes are usually a good way to get into Segundo North... but please don't be a "dorm-whore" and apply for a theme program if you have no intention to participate on the activities!

activities? haha..what are some activities they do at Rainbow hall?

AHAHAH >.< I wonder....

Is Regan in Segundo North? I can't find it..

Regan is in it's own section of Segundo. It's next to the Segundo towers.

what area and building is the multi-ethnic theme floor in? i kind of want to join, but not if its in a crappy dorm.

To answer the original question; the African American theme floor is on the 2nd floor of Alder Hall, which is part of Segundo North (the newest buildings).
