<p>Are African-Canadians considered URMs at US universities and do they get the same or cloes to the same boost that African-Americans get?</p>

<p>Please I don't wanna hear, "You're just relying on Affirmative Action to get you in." I'm not, I have good enough statistics to get into top schools regardless of my race. I just wanna know if my Black international status is going to help me at all.</p>

<p>Normally black will help, international will hurt. Not sure if the combination changes anything, or if they essential offset each other.</p>

<p>Being black in the US carries different baggage than in Canada. IMO you would not be considered URM.</p>
