Canadian URM?

<p>I've already posted this in the international section but no views or replies yet so I'll try my luck here:</p>

<p>k so here's my situation. my basic question is do American schools apply "URM" for Canadian applicants? I'm 1/8 black(as in the skin color) and 1/2 African( as in the continent of origin, Egypt)</p>

<p>Also do I need proof and how do people usually go about getting it? the great grandmother is no longer alive...</p>

<p>No URMs are Americans in racial minority groups that are underrepresented in American colleges.</p>

<p>People who are from other countries may be, however, desirable if the college wants to expand its international diversity. Whether this is important would depend on the college.</p>
