Does AU help (i guess you would say) connect their graduating seniors/grad students to possible employers ?

What types of places hire AU grads (particularly in areas such as international studies)?

Thanks

AU has a top notch career services center. They’ll help you with everything: formatting a resume and cover letter, holding mock interviews, etc. AU students also get exclusive access to an online job database – many of which hire only AU students. They hold multiple career fairs, resume drops, etc. throughout the year. Most of all, AU helps by providing a location to do between 1 and 11 internships throughout your academic career – to get valuable experience that puts you way ahead of people working on some rural campus for four years.

AU grads work anywhere – nonprofit sector, private and public. It all depends on what you want to do.

Just to add to that, alumni are able to use the Career Center as well and there is a counselor there just for graduates.

Out of all of the colleges that I have visited, AU seems like it has one of the best career centers available… though that might just have something to do with being in DC and DC being “recession-proof”.

It’s amazing. I have several friends who have graduated AU and they all say the same (asides from being a great school) you actually get help in getting internships throughout school, but also a job later on. Really liking it.
