<p>Where do you live after college? A lot of people study OOS, and if they find a job there after college, where do they live? Wouldn't you have to already have been working your last year of school to have money saved up for a place to stay? Just curious. Thanks.</p>
<p>Some firms will help with moving and sign on bonus for deposit on an apartment. Some parents help out initially. Some people live with friends for few months.</p>
<p>My kids and their friends have all lived with room mates after college. My daughter currently has three- which is the only way she can afford to live in her expensive east coast city. If you find a job, you’ll have enough to live in a small place if you share. My kids had summer funds and savings to pay their first/last months rent.
Depending on where you live and your salary., it may take a little while before you can afford your own place–maybe even a few years if you want to live in NYC, SF, Boston or other high rent area.</p>
