what's the date frame that MSU usually informs deferred students? jan-march? or april-may?

After submitting 7th semester grades, deferred students typically hear back in the March to mid-April timeframe.

wow really? I want to know my college choice by march.

^if you want to go to MSU you don’t really have that option…especially since they have to wait to receive/process your 7th semester grades, it takes a long time to make a decision. I don’t really get what is the rush in making a college decision?

I go by trimesters so MSU already has my grades they need, and there’s no rush for my college decision, I basically already know where I want to go. I just want to mail in the fee to save my spot by a certain date.

^fair enough. They might take a look at your 2nd trimester grades too though…so if you still want to go to MSU make sure you keep those up.

If I was admitted and they didn’t ask for 1st semester grades, will they see any grades from my senior year at all?

Yes. You have to send your senior grades at the end of the year and your admission can be revoked if your grades drop.

okay thanks

They arn’t going to take away your admission for a bunch of Cs on your final grades right? Cuz that would be kinda ridiculous.

Generally, no. But if you were a borderline admit anyway, then perhaps. It’s hard to say.

Gist- DON’T let your grades slide senior year. For one, it just looks bad. Two, it’s terrible preparation for college- you’re letting yourself get lazy and that WILL bite you in the arse next year.

msufanx23, be prepared to wait. You may hear in February-March and then you may not get an answer until May.
