After submitting app when/how do you receive info about setting up portal?

<p>My understanding is that after you submit an application--ED in this case--your'e supposed to receive an email about setting up an admissions/portal account, which will enable you to check the status of your application and supporting documents.</p>

<p>Assuming that's the procedure, how long does it typically take to get that email?</p>

<p>Hey! I submitted my Williams ED application about two days ago via Common App and received my Williams College application acknowledgement email today. The email provides you with access to the Williams portal. Good luck with your application!</p>
