What happens after pressing "Submit"

DS submitted an application (ED) yesterday, and got a dialog box that said “You should soon receive an email from our student record system with login instructions for our application status page. You’ll need to track the status of your application and ensure that all required materials are received in a timely manner”

But we have not gotten any email from the college as of yet (only one from Common App)

On the Common App, it does show as submitted with the timestamp.

Should we be worried that we haven’t yet gotten an email from the school itself?

It often takes a few days to get the portal login info.

My D got most the next day but her ED school took a couple of days.

Not to forget that some schools (Howard comes first to mind) still do not use on-line portals effectively. Also, Marist has a strange way of going about it.

My D21 found hers in her spam folder so keep looking there, too.

Emails with portal details arrived from my daughter’s EA schools between two and six days after she submitted her application.

I agree that sometimes it takes a good few days to get the email. We never got one at all from Rollins and my son ended up going on to the site to try to login and clicked lost password. He was able to get in that way but never did get an email.
