Age Limit for Law School

Well, according to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, not a blessed thing!

I'm not sure it's stupid to desire some basic maturity before people are allowed to practice law -- a position of often great responsibility.

You are right! What was I thinking! Unfortunately, Albert Einstein was permitted to begin science experiments before he reached 21 and was mature. As a result of getting off to the wrong start, he ended up blowing up a whole bunch of stuff later on in his career. If there had only been an age requirement for science when Einstein was growing up, why, then I would be able to finish this sentence in Japanese.

Well, I can see how you could confuse science experiments with practicing law, as they're both very similar.

But the truth is, conducting science experiments in a controlled setting is much more analagous to simply studying the law, as opposed to actually holding someone's finances, freedom, or life in your hand. No one is saying that a minor shouldn't be able to study law -- we're simply saying they probably shouldn't be able to practice it at such a young age.

(There are, of course, many who feel it was a mistake to unlock the nuclear genie, though I'm not personally one of them.)

I guess that's true -- the Japanese were poised to invade California when we ended the war.

Just out of curiousity -- where did you study history?
