As long as you are a high school student, you are allowed to take an AP exam any of the four years, right?

think so. I have heard a freshman taking AP Calculus AB before.

only if you pass the prerequisite first

I think there are even exceptions. I know of an eighth-grader who took AP Calc AB.

^ if ur school thinks ur smart than yea

Haha, I remember seeing a girl from a local middle school taking the AP Chem test last year. It was ridiculous!

So that means yeah, you can. Even in middle school! You just need to work with the system, find out additional info. But colleges have stupid rules like, "the test isn't 'approved' if it isn't taken a certain year."

ivybound that's false, you can sign up for an AP exam whenever you want. even if you have never heard of the course before. of course it would be a waste and taking the courses in the subject is recommended.

i guess the county i live in works that way
