Agh...stressed

So I have been pretty much perfecting my app for SC since like July because I NEED to go there seriously...my dream...

Is there anything I can do in my app to make it clear to them that SC is my number one choice and would that help??

Also, my unweighted GPA is 3.94, and my ECs are excellent and i'm pretty sure my recs will kick ass.. the thing is my SAT is low, if i get a 1900 on the SAT will i still have a chance at marshall??

another question... if marshall rejects me, do i still have a chance at the general arts and sciences college?? and if i get rejected from that, how often do people get admitted for the spring semester??

Haha sorry I have so many questions I am just going crazy with this college process... i need to get in though!

1900 isn't the end of the world, although it's not ideal. If Marshall rejects you, you'll either be placed in your second-choice major or "undeclared." I have no idea how many spring admits we have, sorry! I completely understand what you're going through; USC was (and still is) my dream school!

Though I whole-heartedly believe that the SAT is inherently flawed, I still got into the cinema school with a 1960 SAT. It depends more on your GPA, recs, and personal essays (mine kicked ass, so that's why.) In the end, I think if you've put that much time into it, you at least should definitely have a great chance at getting into CLAS, if not Marshall outright. But then again, that's just my opinion.

interview...
make sure to send a thank you note afterwards, as well.

Edit: that's not on your app, per se, but it's still a good thing to do. :)

what exactly would i say on this said "thank you" letter?

just say you enjoyed the conversation (the interview), that you found it very informative, and that you feel that USC would be an excellent choice for college... throw in a couple specifics, like "i'm especially interested in this program"... and you've got yourself a thank you note.

they won't care that much about the note's content - they mostly just want to see that you've shown the initiative to send it at all
