!@#@#$!!! Aghhhh

I am flipping the **** out! I am twenty times more stressed now that I RECIEVED my admissions than when I sent them. I used to rely on rankings but now I got two equally ranked schools so I am like ***!!!
NYU or USC for premed. Side note: I am slightly off-base (for those of you who didnt catch that) So even though the weird people at NYU might throw me off the jocks at USC might literraly through me.

Anyone got numbers or something tangible to help me make this decision. I have done tons of reasearch and havent gotten any closer to a decision.l

Yes I know college visits but anyone got some numbers to give me or some crap to make the decision with?!@@?!#!@ Seriously help.

The weather is probably better at USC.

Yep. But I’m betting pizza is better in NY. ;)

Two fine choices. Go to the one that makes you happy.

I honestly have no idea at all which one will make me happier. I just need something meaningless like numbers to tip the scales.

Okay answer this, is it easier to make friends at USC cause its a campus or at NYU cause everyone will be friends with everyone.

I don’t like the Trojans so…

NYU.

yah they break on me all the time.

Don’t keep them in your wallet so long.

Good for you on the sense of humor. ;)

I’d have to say that my D , with her tastes, would vastly prefer USC but my artsy niece would hate it and be NYC pizza over Cali weather any day. I would guess the campus vibe would be as different as it could be. (Caveat : I’ve been to NYU but not USC.) You, OTOH, may not care as much about fit. Only you know that.

If that’s the case, try to research opportunities you’d be likely to take advantage of at each school (ease of obtaining research opps for UG’s for one). See if that gives one school a lead on the other. I know that the research and volunteer opps available to my D were an important (but secondary) consideration when my D made her choice.

if you see the transfer threads, quite a few people there are trying to transfer out of NYU, so im guessing USC will be better.

USC I think is crazy expensive and it’s in an expensive are.

NYU is a bit cheaper I think.

^ and manhattan isn’t an expensive area?? I think any discount on tuition you’d get by going to NYU would be cancelled out by the cost of living in NYC.

People transfer out of NYU because they either can’t afford it or decided to attend for the wrong reasons. I strongly advise anyone considering NYU to visit the campus and carefully consider their financial situation over the next four years before making a decision.

USC has a wide and deep merit aid program.

Both schools are expensive, and cost of living in both is high as well.

Which one gave you the better financial deal?
