Keep watching the tabs/lines in your login. It will be obvious that you are accepted if it changes. This usually occurs around the 15th. You will see a financial aid tab and a pay your deposit tab.

Just FYI: BC is reach for my D because of her math scores (B math student/mediocre ACT Math score), and I was able to access/pay tuition. So, I don’t think that is an indication of acceptance. I hope it is because it is her first choice, but I don’t think so.

ACT Math, mid twenties. D doesn’t want me to give her actual scores, and I have to respect her wishes. I will say that it is her only weakness. Everything else looks great (GPA, EC’s, Leadership, Community Service, etc). I guess we’ll just have to wait. :/

Sunni, I know you may not want to answer, so please feel free to defer, but what was your daughter’s composite ACT? My DD got a 25 on science, but 32 altogether; I guess I am naive, but thought there would be more emphasis on the composite than the individual scores.

also, DD has a lot of B’s in Math, but a 3.9… so, again, Sunni, I may be totally naive and clueless, but never thought just that one weakness was something they would concentrate on. Although, I am still a nervous wreck about her getting in.

Looking through source code of “applicant status” page… found this:

// FWNOTE: set AppType=1 for Undergrad App
var NextURL = “InfiNET/InfiNET.asp?AppType=1&SSN=” + SSN + “&AppFirstName=” + FName + “&AppLastName=” + LName + “&AppEmailAddr=” + EmailAddr + “&AppFeeAmount=” + FeeAmount;
window.open(NextURL);
}
function PayEnrollmentOnline(ID,LName,FName, EmailAddr, FeeAmount)
{

“PayEnrollmentOnline” = BC is putting the tools into place to release decisions. Please note that this should be on EVERYONE’s source code, and is NOT an indication of acceptance.

Sunni68, My daughter was accecpted to BC (class of '12) with a fairly low match score, over 600 but under 700. I haven’t read very many of the threads posted but I think BC is slightly more impressed with GPA, course rigor, and EC’s than they are test scores. I know her SAT compostite of 2160 was significantly higher than most of her friends…

Im just trying to avoid the massive confusion that occurred last year. For those of you who don’t know, the “source code” of a page is the code that constructs the webpage. It consists primarily of symbols and abbreviations. When viewing this webpage, there is code which constructs a button to pay enrollment fees online, as well as others for Housing Deposit, etc. Before other people start realizing this, I wanted to show all of you that EVERYONE, regardless of accept/defer/deny should have this code.

Here is how to check:

Windows- Log on to agora. click “applicant status”. In your upper left toolbar, click view —> page source (or something along those lines). This works well with firefox. In the page that opens, look for the code I posted above, as well as the words “acceptview”. Use the find option, ctrl + f to help you out.

Mac- (Safari) View —> Source, do the same as above. Post results here if it makes you more comfortable.

Make no assumptions. Having code that someone else doesn’t IS NOT AN INDICATION OF ACCEPTANCE OR DENIAL!
