Agora portal question

I did not apply for financial aid but I do have the sixth tab-can't find anything about housing on admission status though...

ya well during EA i didnt have the fin aid awards tab when everyone else was freaking out about it like this, however once they send out the letters the agora app status should change to include housing if you get in. i got in and i didnt apply for fin aid...so dont freak out if your agora doesnt have something, just wait for the letter and relax

Sounds like everyone who had the link change got in... I have the new link and didn't apply for financial aid. Can't be a bad thing. Not necessarily good either.

I also have the financial aide award button. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out-if the ones with the button get in and the ones without the button don't. Good luck to all. Whatever is meant to be is meant to be!

Agora won't even let me log in now. I was on it about an hour ago and it was fine, but I tried to get on it again and it won't let me login. I am so confused...

I don't have that tab. :(

^ Neither do I. D:

I've worked in college admissions, and my hubbie is an IT at another university. Believe me, you are reading way too much into whether a tab shows up or not.

i feel like this can't possibly be right...schools put in so much effort to keep admission decisions confidential until the very last minute i feel as if they wouldn't make such an obvious and detectable mistake like switching some accounts over before the release of the decisions to the public

Well, one office can be somewhat independent of another. My son got an email from UMass clearly directed to accepted students (inviting him to come to open house or welcome day for accepted students), but it was not an announcement of his acceptance, which came six days later. They get the list; they start to work. Of course, they may not have finished the job yet. Letters will arrive soon.

yeah, perhaps the publics aren't as diligent. UCLA allowed accepted students to establish an e-mail account prior to the release of the acceptances. Then with the e-mail account, it was easy to drill into the accepted students website. :D

I don't even remember... did we create our own usernames? What would it be if not? Like first initial then last name?

last name then first initial

what was the format for the passwords

That's not true for everyone - mine has a random w in it.

Mine too. Half of my name is cut off and then they decided to throw in a W. Weird.

yeah mine was last name then first two letters of first name

Score. W for, we want you to come to BC. Or, W, as in FTW?!

Hhahahaha look at me, all full of optimism. :/

Hey guys, hate to ruin all the fun of trying to use astrology, tarot cards, and agora links to see if you are in, but this whole issue came up last year during early action. I had no links and got in, they didn't appear until well after Christmas for me. I know it is the hardest thing in the world to do right now, but I recommend just waiting until you get the envelope to decide if you have been accepted or not. Skipping class to drive home and check the mail is fun too. Not even gonna say take it easy because I still remember how stupid that advice sounds, but good luck.

Still sounds like having the tab is a good thing since the tab seems to eventually show up in the "accepted" accounts. However, if you don't have it yet this could just mean they haven't gotten around to updating your account. Keep checking and good luck to all!!
