AH! Which colleges should I apply to?!

Here are my stats:

-Crappy gpa (~3.13 unweighted after junior year, will be ~3.4 after senior year)
(~3.35 weighted after junior year, will be ~3.6 after senior year)
-took a decent amount of honors/ap classes, especially will be senior year
-2260 on SATs (1520 for math/reading), retaking and shooting for 2300.
-Haven't gotten ACTs back yet, but I thought they were easier than the SATs. so prob 34+
-Part (barely) cherokee indian, trying to apply for citizenship in the cherokee nation.
-Average extracurriculars and whatnot

I have absolutely no idea where my interests lie or what I might want to major in, but it'll probably be business or something in the realm of engineering. I really don't know though, so I need a lot of different options for majors once I get there. I'm looking for a school that isn't small but doesn't have to be huge. Location isn't all that important. Money isn't really a factor.

Assuming that my essay is extremely good, where would you suggest I apply? the more suggestions, the better :)

Any ideas of anything I can do to stand out to adcoms? I'm a second semester junior right now so there isn't really much I can do about the gpa. I just really wish I had put in half an ioda of effort in freshman and sophomore year..

If you need any more info, just ask.

Thanks

It’s not really relevant what your GPA will be AFTER senior year. you’ll be applying for college next fall. So, unless you’re planning on taking a gap year, colleges aren’t going to know that by the time you graduate your GPA will be up a bit.

You’re lucky that money won’t be a factor since many of the schools that “meet need” will expect a higher GPA.

I wonder if “barely” counts. how much Indian are you and when will you find out if you qualify for citizenship and CDIB?

Check out the Catholic schools. They come in a range of GPAs/SAT scores and most have good business schools and some have decent engineering. For a couple in your range, try Seattle University and Regis University. Santa Clara might be a reach with your GPA, but it’s worth a shot. For the east coast look at University of Scranton and Fordham.
