So, I signed up for my subject tests as soon as I could and I am retaking my physics and math. Along with those, I decided I would take a third test. Looking at the list, I chose Bio/E. After looking at practice tests, I am not nearly prepared for the test. Can I switch the test I take the day of? What one would you suggest?

if u switch, then u have to pay $20 more. and depends on your skills and preparation for each of the test.

If you already signed up for 3 tests and want to switch, you don’t have to pay anything. Just take whichever tests you want on test day. The tests you put when you registered do not have to be the tests you take on saturday. If you decide you only want to take 1 or 2 tests and don’t want to take a 2nd or 3rd test, just leave and don’t fill anything out for that section. On test day, you just get a big book of all the subjects tests and you get to pick which ones to take and in which order.

Honestly, it’s a bit too late to start studying for a whole new test, why don’t you just take math and physics on saturday and maybe next time when you’re more prepared, you can take a third subject test. Trust me, studying the day before or not studying at all for a subject test will not get you a good score.

Maybe take the OTHER two tests first, and see how you feel, then decide.

Know that, if you take it and feel you bombed, and don’t want the score to appear on your record, you can cancel it BUT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL ALL three scores for that day.

But, if you don’t really care that you have one bad score, why not try?

Know that practice tests can be VERY VERY deceptive (in both directions!).
