i registered for 3 sat subject test, but can i change my decision?

i registered for 3 subject tests ---us history, chemistry and Math II.
i think im not going to be prepared for us history...so can i just take chem and math then leave?????

Yes. You can just let them know at the test site that you will only be taking two tests. You won’t get your money back, though.

Yeah. They give you a book including every subject test, and once you are there you can just take whatever test you want in each period of one hour.

^how about if i just registered for 1 test but i changed my mind and decided to take 3 tests instead???

Yes,you definitely can

But if you want to take more than you signed up for, you need to pay for each test + a late fee.

so i can take more than i’ve signed up for?
i just registerd for CHemistry ONLY,but i also decided to take us and math…so if i just take all 3 of them i can still pay for it after the test?

Yup, on CollegeBoard’s website it says: “There is no charge for changing from one Subject Test to a different Subject Test. If you want to substitute one Subject Test for another, you should do that at the test center. You may substitute any Subject Tests offered except the Language Tests with Listening. You cannot change to a listening test on test day because test centers do not have extra CDs. If you want to change to a listening test or from one listening test to another, you must do so by the late registration deadline or three weeks before the test date, if testing internationally.” (gotten from their website at: [SAT Making Changes](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Changing Your Registration Info – SAT Suite | College Board) at bottom of page)

pianochick, you just saved my life. thank you so much.

i actually only signed up for Bio E/M and ended up taking lit also, even though i didn’t register… how do i get billed? do they send the bill by mail, or is it charged to the card used for registration?? dreamsofivy mentioned paying the late fee… is this true? I was really worried the lit test wouldn’t be counted…

how and when does one make the payment for the extra test?

What happens if you end up handing in two tests instead of 3, after sitting for 3 hours?
I’m taking the same three OP is, and want to try chem, but I figure if, half-way through it seems I’m not going to make a 750+, I might just erase the bubbles. .__.

There is NNNOOOO late fee for adding extra subject tests on the test day.

THere’s no such thing as notifying College Board early of adding your extra subjects as well, you simply have to tell the test center on the day you’re gonna add more subjects, that’s it, and then pay for it later ofc.

can you use a fee waiver to pay for the extra subject test?

I selected World History, Literature and French but I may not be able to study for my french. Can I give Math 2 instead?

what if a student has applied for 2 subject tests and uses 3 hours for 2 subject tests ?

Well, I guess that would be called CHEATING. And, yes, someone would notice.

When you add a subject test on the day of the test, you are billed (by mail) for the additional test . . . actual cost only, no late fee.

I would doubt, in these circumstances, that a fee waiver could be used . . . but that would be a question for CB.

I’m an international student who tested outside the US. I wrote World History, US history (Both of which I already registered for) and an additional literature paper. I finished the test on June 7th 2014, but the people who administered the test said I could pay for the literature paper by Wednesday (June 11th). I cannot find any link to make my payment. Could anyone please tell me what i can do now?
