Im an international and wanted to ask wether some universities give aid to internationals whom they realy want(they exceed their requirements with wid margin) despite saying they do not offer aid to internationals.

I would say, “no”.

If a school specifically states that it doesn’t give aid to internationals, then likely it is somehow barred from doing so…perhaps, by some rule, law, regulation, or simply lack of funds.

Many schools don’t have any institutional money to give, therefore all of its aid is “federal,” and federal money cannot be given to internationals.

Perhaps also, many schools do not have what it would take to verify the actual financial need of internationals.

No…

If they say they don’t give aid to international students…the answer is NO.

Or how about the line my son always heard “what part of NO don’t you understand”

Ali:

there are few US schools that meet full financial need for internationals. And, unfortunately, they are the most selective. You should probably focus on those.

or following sueinphilly’s example as to what my kids heard, “No means No.”

We used to say “No is a two letter word. Which letter is confusing you?”
