aid for international applicants?

Is there aid for international applicants? I hear no and then I hear of people getting full rides! I don’t understand.

Yes, some school will give it but many won’t. If they do give it, it is based on ‘need’. They determine how much they think you should pay depending on your income and assets Or there are some that give it strictly on ‘merit’ going by your grades and test scores. You should find the international student forums here an read some, there is plenty of discussion about colleges that give aid.

What official sources offer aid for international students to study in USA? Fullbrights are only available for Master’s but I’m looking for other official programs to which I can apply for merit-based aid. I am entering Parsons in the Fall 2011 and I sure that the aid I receive will be limited.

You wrote this a few years ago. Are you a transfer student? If so, there is little/no aid for int’l transfers. ’

To the OP…did you start college in fall 2011…or not? If so, you would be a college senior now. If now, what have you been doing since 2011?

And did you research the same question in 2011? If so, times really have not changed.

ETA…are you the younger sibling of the student who posted here in 2011?
