What official sources offer aid for international students to study in USA? Fullbrights are only available for Master's but I'm looking for other official programs to which I can apply for merit-based aid. I am entering Parsons in the Fall 2011 and I sure that the aid I receive will be limited.

Unfortunately there are no US-based programs. (Well, none that posters on this board are aware of!)

Some countries have scholarships to help their most promising students study abroad.

Other than that, your best bet is to attend a college that gives scholarships to international students. Some colleges have very generous financial aid policies for foreign students, but you need to select a college with such a policy. Once you decide where to attend, there isn’t much you can do to get additional funding.

I don’t know of any big ones that would cover the entire tuition. I myself am only at the prep school stage but I got an outside/school-based* scholarship for ~35.000$. Even then I needed a bit more so I looked into some local ones. Now I don’t know if these exist where you live but I found that some banks in my country give out scholarships for every schoolstage (high-school, college, grad school etc.). The ones I found ranged from 1000-4000, not enough for the full tuition but if that’s all you need…

Anyhow, good luck :)

It’s awarded by the school but paid for by an outside organization, as in I can’t take the scholarship and go somewhere else, not that I want too.
