Aid to International Transfers at Columbia University

I am applying for a transfer from IIT Bombay with a change in major to Computer Science. I have already applied to MIT, Stanford, Cornell, Yale, Dartmouth and Harvard. All these colleges give financial aid to International Transfer students. Should I consider applying to Columbia? Does any have stats regarding how many International students transfer to Columbia University with aid?
PS: If its more than 10, then my chances are good.

i don’t know data about how many international transfers - though i should note that i thought harvard did away with transfers for the time being?

yale and stanford have minimal transfers.

if you are an especially acceptional candidate, columbia will certainly look at you, and within the ivies it has a pretty decent sized transfer class. columbia, however, it should be noted is not need-blind for international students (including transfers).

I contacted Harvard and they are accepting transfers…
But if admitted to columbia how much aid will I be provided?(complete??)

columbia does not guarantee full-funding to transfer students (as in they say this so just in case they don’t have any money left to completely fund someone they don’t get caught in a lie). but from what i know, columbia is very cognizant of what kind of expense it would be for you to come here from Mumbai. they would most likely only admit you as a transfer student if they thought it wouldn’t be a burden on you to come - aka they could give you full funding. so if they admit you, they will be generous, if they don’t think they can offer you the funding, they may indeed not admit you so that you don’t have to have to choose between coming and taking out many loans and the opposite.

thank you! that was all I needed… I am applying to columbia!
