Aiming for top 20 but two AP 3s?!

@GCLawmom

Thank you so much! (:

What about a 1 on an AP exam? I was a sophomore taking one of the hardest APs–European History–and on top of that it was my first AP, I had a terrible teacher, and history is my worst subject. Will sending this 1 be detrimental to my application?

I think there is the case for not reporting scores of 1 or 2, since those are not considered passing and no college will offer unit or placement credit for those scores.

Thanks a lot, GCLawmom. That was really helpful since I am in a similar situation (GPA 4.0 uw, ACT 34, SAT II’s 800 and 760, fewer AP’s- just 7, but similar in having a two lower AP scores, ie 3’s). I really appreciate your input!

Bump… wanna hear more suggestions!!!

ap scores have no affect on college admissions. i don’t know why everyone thinks they do. they simply allow you to get out of classes.

How do you check your ap scores i still didnt get mine yet and i believe i did REALLY BAD ON MY AP ECONOMICS AND US HISTORY can i cancel it once i get my score? im pretty sure im going to get a 2 or 3 -_- and how do i cancel it?

I had two 2’s (yes, 2’s!) and still made it into MIT, one of the top engineering/math schools. AP scores are only part of the college application.

Thx guys!

If I only report the 5 and 4 during application but later send the official report to the college where I decide to go, is that kind of dishonesty or like I am hiding something? Can I do like this?
