Hey I'm interested in attaining a full ride scholarship from the Air Force ROTC program and was wondering if the program pays full tuition for schools that are out of your state. I am currently residing in Florida but am very interested to go to school somewhere on the Eastcoast, preferably North or South Carolina, but I am not sure that if I get a full AFROTC scholarship if they are willing to pay full tuition for a school out of my state. I know its different for certain ROTC programs because some will only pay partial tuition on a 4 year ROTC scholarship if you go to school out of state but was wondering how it works with the AFROTC. If anyone has any info on this subject that would be great, thanks!

It doesn't matter if you plan to attend a college not located in Florida. After your AFROTC interview, they will either grant you a full $180,000 scholarship or a partial scholarship, depending on how qualified you are compared to others who are competing for the same scholarship. The money they grant will be for any college you choose, in or out of state.

I think it also depends on your major. You have a better chance of receiving a full ride scholarship if your major is engineering as opposed to history.
