AirBears and iOS 6: Don't Update Yet

Apple will be releasing iOS 6 for recent iPhones, iPads, and iPod touchs next week. It was released early to developers. I have tested it, and on neither of my iOS devices can I log in to AirBears. I don't want to get into all the technical details, but I'm fairly certain there is an incompatibility that cannot currently be worked around, and will likely be resolved by a change to how AirBears handles logging-in.

In short, don't update to iOS 6 right away if being able to connect to AirBears is important to you. I'll post again once the problem is resolved.

Thank you! Please let me know as soon as you can if you figure out a way or if the school has fixed the issue. Do you know if the school is informed of this?

Thanks for letting us know. Just wondering - have you attempted turning off auto-login?

i had the same problem as OP and I dont have autologin turned on…

I got my iPhone to work but not my iPad…

Any word on the iPad working? My iPhone can connect with no problem. I’m scared to update my iPad because it would be almost useless if I couldn’t connect to airbears.

Reset your Network settings and it should work.

iPad owner here and it works on iOS 6
