Airfare

does anyone have any suggestions on airfare? i'm trying to get to san francisco for a program there, but i cant seem to find a cheap flight that fits my schedule (arrives at SF between noon and 4pm). i've tried sta, booking buddy, and airfare watchdog. afaik, that covers pretty much everything, but if anyone else has a good site that they know, please post.

Cheap Flights, Airline Tickets, Cheap Airfare & Discount Travel Deals - Kayak.com
Expedia.com - Upgrade your browser and see the world

or just look directly from an airline's website.

kayak.com is another quick fare check site

it's hard to get good deals now (being that you're probably not booking too far in advance), but they're still out there. it will just take a lot of work. usually purchasing directly from the airline is the cheapest option. since you have atlanta listed as your location, there's plenty of options. delta and airtran probably have nonstops (delta is usually very expensive though)...united might have a nonstop too. connecting might still be cheaper, though, so look for airlines like american (average prices), continental (they sometimes have great deals), us airways, frontier (they might have a good price too), midwest (worth checking), and northwest (usually expensive).

for a summer program that i'm going to, i booked on two different airlines. i travel to philadelphia on one airline and i leave on a different one. just remember not to book an itinerary where you fly more than one airline on the same day...that would be too much hassle with bags.

Oh, I is you're qualified I would recommend studentuniverse.com

I got my ticket for boston to MITEs through them and saved $100 dollars. But you have to be college student, so if happen to have taken a college course recently and have a few forms to verify your status even if you aren't really a college student you could do it.

I'm in the MN PSEO program so it worked well for me.
