Alcohol Restrictions

I am curious as to the restrictions/punishments for alcohol/partying at USNA, for both underage and legal drinking. Any insight would be nice, thanks in advance!

my brother went to west point, which should be similar to the naval academy and the restrictions are harsh. there is absolutely no partying on school grounds…everything is very uptight and strict

First, if you are underage why ask. Here is an article I found from a couple years ago, policy is at the end. [Alcohol Policy, Penalties Tightened - washingtonpost.com](http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/14/AR2006091401115.html)

This has been discussed @ some length on the forum w/ varying POVs. The bottomline is one should probably put the question in the category along w/ how one gets into flight school upon completing Plebe summer and how many weekends one’s boy/girl pal is allowed to sleep over in Bancroft.

Don’t worry. You’ll find out the potential repercussions on this one. It’ll not be left to your “gee, I didn’t know we weren’t allowed to sip some suds after beating Army, again, sir. Can’t I buy you one?” :(
