My daughter has decided to take Alg II Honors thru FLVS , can anyone share their experience, how long did it take you to finish?

It depends on how much of a math enthusiast your daughter is. For me, I absolutely love math, so I learn quite quickly. It took me approximately 4 month (I did the accelerated pace, while attending school, it can be finished even faster over the summer).

I thought Alg 2 was perhaps the second easiest class I have ever taken on FLVS, not because the information was easy (although that is one reason though) but the tests didn’t seem very in-depth. Then again, people at my school struggled.

I think I had the best experience with alg 2 class. I had a great teacher and at the end of the course, he actually sent me a letter of congratulations (which is my first time receiving a letter after taking about 8 classes on FLVS). I was pleasantly surprised.

As for course structure, I thought it was manageable. It’s really easy to learn if this is going to be her first FLVS course. The information was given so that one could understand it easily (at least for me).

Algebra 2 is really easy and a waste of a year in my opinion. If you can, finish it over the summer and advance into precalc. The earlier, the better. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask me.
