Algebra II / Trig June 2015 Regents Discussion

you had to subtract the number of turkeys in 2015 from the number in 2010 because it asked how many more I believe

yo guys, for the standard deviation its 5.17 because they didnt want the sample deviation. they wanted population. i still have the data in my calc. and i double checked when entering the right numbers.

im so scared b/c in the scantron, i had 1 or 2 stray marks that are light. But the marks werent in the bubbles, they were like in the areas in between the columns of bubbles. do u think the machine will mark these wrong.

What did you guys get for the circle where it gave you the radius of the circle? I believe the answer was rad 3, 1 but i am not sure

yea thats right its rad3 and rad 1

Can we talk about the tv shows mc? Or does anyone remember what question number that was? I think it’s 17

for the sum and product question with 3x^2+2x+kx i found k and i used that like
i factored it out (3x-1)(x+1) and i got 1/3, -1 and so my sum was -2/3, -1/3 because i figured out that k was -1
and if you multiply and add 1/3 and -1 you would still get the same answers so is that right?

the tv show one was 6c4 times 4c2 or something like that

i believe that the answer was the sum was -2/3 and the product was 1/9. It was very simple to find the sum if you knew the formula. I then used b^2-4ac to find the k value. I plugged in the values and got k to equal -1/3. I then put -1/3 over -3 an got 1/9. To check this answer i found the roots of the equation using the k value. I got both roots to equal -1/3. So therefore the sum and product would make sense.

yea, i realized that too, it was 1/9 but then i alsoo realized you can have so many other possibilites for k as well so i left it as k

what about the a sub n question
where they have you a sub1

  • ANSWERS FOR JUNE 2015 REGENTS ALG2/TRIG

@hockey1199 I put the same answer for the product as well. But, NYS totally did not make that question clear. I sat there for 15-20 minutes trying to figure out that problem, when the answer was k/3.

Mr. Krause made videos answering all of the questions.

Wow. I got a 64 on the regents and I have to retake it. THis is nonsense. I studied so much, my book is on fire.
