I aim to be an Aerospace Eng. Currently I am a Mechanical Eng major @ Lehigh University. I plan to do a minor in Aerospace Eng. and possibly Physics too. I got in Lehigh in Early Decision and so didn't apply to any other college. I want to do my Masters in Aerospace Eng at one of the top ranking colleges(hopefully).

I request all visitors to write down any info available about Aeropsace Eng. like getting into the top colleges for graduate studies in aerospace, getting a good job after college or anything....

I chose Mechanical Eng major and Aerospace Eng minor becoz that would give me a broader knowledge of engineering with specialization in Aerospace.Kinda 2-in-1.
Is this a choice good? How difficult it REALLY is to switch to Aerospace Eng from my major Mech Eng(although many say, its nothing difficult) when applying to grad schools like MIT, Cal Tech, Georgia Tech? Do these grad schools give preference to students with major in same department?

I was ME for undergrad and I am doing an AE PhD now. It won’t hold you back.
