Hey I figured we could start our own little forum because the other one is getting confusing… that way we could determine if and where we wanted to meet, where we would go, who all would be there, what to look for, etc…

I'll be there!

I will too... how shall we find each other?

Oh, and if anyone wants to chat, IM me =)

Our best bet for meeting is probably at the Dean's Luncheon, but that doesn't solve the problem of how to recognize. Maybe we could wear pencils behind our ears or spike our hair - that'd be distinguishing. ;)

Why don't you PM each other and exchange cell phone numbers?

lol point taken kinshasa..I dunno, I'd feel weird randomly at 12 pm at the Dean's luncheon call a few phone numbers and watch people jump at the buzz and ring of their phones.

On second thought, that sounds fun..I change my mind...I can do the calling :-p

kinshasa, are you going? =) and where in cali do you live? (sf here)

Is the Dean's luncheon only for the kids accepted into the honors/Deans scholarship program? or is it open for everyone because i def. wasnt invited, but if its open for all we should meet there. I think we could come up with like, a post or a tree or a distinguishing landmark where we could all meet...

From what I gather from the brochure in your acceptance packet, the Dean's luncheon is for everyone. It's just the "wrappingupthanksforcominghopeyougohereitsbeenajoy" event. And exchanging cell phone numbers isn't a bad idea.

peppercody, the landmark checkpoint meeting area would work, if I knew where anything was, or where I would be headed. XD Never been to Boston before, hope I don't get lost.

One phone number down, 15765434 to go.

Slwlisuffocating, my S is a freshman. Last year he had AIM handles and phone numbers of tons of kids, especially before his June orientation. They all knew each other really well before they met. Oh, and we're from the Sac valley.

Thanks kinshasa =).

Does anyone know how long the open house takes? When it ends and such that is. I'd love to see the city more before my flight back home.

i cant be there b/c im leaving for england/france with friends = ( but im excited about europe!!

Yeah what we need to do is figure out when every one is leaving so we have time to go visit places and stuff. I'm one of the lucky ones and I dont have school for 5 days, so I'll be up in boston from the 13-17 of april... GAH!! there will be so much to do up there I'm PUMPED!

I'm actually there for spring break, but I don't have a parent, nor a place to stay..well, now I do, but I'l be there from the 13-15 =x.

That's great! I'm there 13-17 too =)!!!!

ill be at the open house, and i live maybe an hour away...so I can stay for a while. it would be nice to meet you all! i have vacation that week too, im pretty excited, although I'm not spending it in boston. screen names and phone numbers are a good idea and the dean luncheon sounds like a good place. my screen name is my username followed by 135.....and yeah.

well look forward to seeing you all there!!!!

hey I'm going to the open house as well! I'm still trying to figure out if I should bring my mom or some friends....also trying to figure out how the hell I'm gonna get to Boston for 8:30 in the morning! (I only live in RI but still, that's quite early) I'm reeaalllly hoping this open house thing will help me figure out if BU's right for me :/ decision making is definitely not a strength of mine, but hey if anyone has any advice as to who to bring/how to get to BU for 8:30 I'd really appreciate it! And btw, my name's Sam (well, samantha) I'm new to this whole world of info on BU and am hoping to get to know some pple I might be going to school with next year!

Hey guys that special day is approaching ... so where do you all want to hang out? On campus? I really think we should all exchange aims and phone numbers so we will have a way to be connected up in Boston. Anyone have any suggestions about where to go?

Well that was a busy, but well organized day! Too bad we didn't get to see too much of each other. Due in part to the massive amounts of people. Sadly, I do not think I will be attending BU in the Fall. Definitely a place to fall in love with for some, but not for me. I'm glad I went to the Open House - it helped me sort out a lot of things I was concerned about.
