Are the classes to tightly packed together? anyone that has experience with this type of schedule please tell me if it is better to change it or stay.

I still dont even know my lab times for physics or sections for philosophy or calculus. they are probably on T or R

Well, it means you’re going to be doing a LOT of work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’d make sure you do your reading for the whole week on the weekend before so that you don’t have to worry about doing it all the night before all your classes.

This is not correct. “T” means Tuesday, “R” means Thursday.

Anyway OP, I’d kill for a schedule like that. Don’t change a thing (unless you can move that 8am to a better time slot!). I mean look at it, you have an hour between each class on MWF and a single class on TR. That could hardly be considered “packed” in any sense of the word, plus you have the rest of MWF and most of TR to do all that work.

I would only recommend changing it if you have something that requires daily 3+ hour blocks of time commitment, such as research or a job.

It seems pretty good except for the 8 am! My first semester I had all five of my classes MWF, beginning at 8 am. 8 am- 2:25 pm. Now that was hell! I didn’t even know that wasn’t normal or that it didn’t have to be that way for awhile, lol. Anyway, you should be fine! Of anything I’d be concerned about there being too many breaks! It might drive me crazy if I had an hour break after every class.

Not at all packed … which would annoy me. I would really hate essentially having class from 8 to 4 and having to find something to do in between classes. If you’re really organized and can get work done in there, though, it’ll be great.

Maybe at your school. But at my school “TR” means Tuesday. So if I have a class on Tuesday and Thursday it will say “TTR”. I don’t know how it is at the OP’s school =

“TR” would mean Tuesday/Thursday at my school as well…from what I know that’s the fairly common way to do it.

Anyway, I don’t think that schedule is too bad, especially if you live on-campus; you might be able to sneak back to your house and eat/get your books between campus.

Anywho, I had class 9-2 and 10-3 first and second semesters, respectively, MWF, and just labs/recitations on TR. I like it, because it gave me days to catch up on sleep/homework, and didn’t give me an awkward hour in between class where it would take too long to get back to my dorm but too much time to just sit and twiddle my thumbs.
Next semester my classes are equally divvied up between MWF and TR, so that’ll be a change. I guess both have their advantages, though.

So you have school 5 days a week. Trust me you’ll hate it. My first semester at community college, I went to school 6 days a week and I hated it. On top of that I was taking a large course load (6 classes). I ended up failing one class(don’t know how) and withdrawing another. O and that 8:00 am is going to kill you. And friday classes suck because the school is empty. No one really wants to go to class on fridays.

For fall semester my earliest class is at 11:00 and I only go to school M-TH. Most of my classes are in the afternoon. I have only two classes a day and its always been that way since I started college. Its also better that way, because if you need to do a last minute assignment or last minute studying it can be done when you have two classes a day. However one must be in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

llpitch, sorry. I meant that TR= Thursday. Not Tuesday. It was an error -_-

Anyway, I just realized that my school doesn’t even use that symbol. They just write TH for Thursday or just spell out “Thursday” on the schedule. Meh. I guess it makes everyone’s life easier.

And anyway, to answer the OP’s question instead of dwelling on what “TR” means…

… Four classes might seem a lot, but at least you have a break from 10:50 to 1:00. It is doable. And your classes seem to be only 50 minutes. Which is not bad =)

Because you have class 3 times a week, though, it might be hectic when it comes to school work, so make sure you don’t slack off. Spend each evening working on homework so you don’t feel overwhelmed or get behind.

I had for on Tu/Th and 1 on Wed last semester, and I have all my classes on Tu/Th next semester. It may be a bit long of a day but you’ll have a lot more free time. Having 3-5 days off is awesome and you get a lot more work done.
