Hey Moms! I haven't said HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you all! It is so busy with Lola home that have not been around to say HI. And so sad that I only have a few more days with her.

The Georgia Ball was Thursday night and was WONDERFUL! Navy was the Host and it was just beautiful! The kids all had an amazing time (and the parents did too). Cant believe it is over and have to wait 12 more months 'til the next one.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday Season!!

The Mid-Atlantic Ball was on 12/22 and was wonderful as well. Army hosted that one! My son will be at sea next year for the ball :( and the following year, so the only ones we will be able to go to as a family are Plebe and 1C year. Be blessed this New Year!!!

We missed this year, our Firstie didn't get back from San Diego until the wee hours of Sunday morning.

All his friends are busy tonight so he's snoozing right next to his Dad and I on the couch...talk about a nice way to pass the evening. We're watching the football games and listening to him snore! I love Christmas (-:

We attended the Washington State All Academies Ball last night. The West Point Parents Club hosted this year. The food, the venue, and the guest speakers were all excellent. I loved seeing all the cadets/midshipmen in their uniforms. One of the speakers was Mary Jean Eisenhower (Pres. Eisenhower's granddaughter and the head of the People to People organization). It was so interesting to hear stories of her childhood with Pres. Eisenhower.

Right after dinner they had the cadets/midshipmen come up to the stage. They had to say their name, year, hometown, major and branch if they were class of '08. There were several Firstie's with pilot slots from Air Force and Navy. The variety of majors is interesting to hear too. Some of them had to add a bit of humor like the West Point cadet that added to his description with this..."and I'm a Sagittarius." The MC then said "I didn't know West Point offered an Astrology major!" :D

It was fun to watch all the young people on the dance floor. The very first dance was for cadets/midshipmen and their Mom's or Dad's, so I got one dance with my son!
