what kind of SAT does smu wants?....
it is hard to enter.. i guess this year.. my SAT m+v = 630 + 520 = 1150

I was told that for international students, you need at least 1300 for old SAT and 1900 for new SAT to be even considered. So if you fail to meet these scores, you are automatically rejected...

oh, no, have the results been released?????

no, the results have not been released... only perhaps for the local students... but that's what the lady working in the admissions office told me long ago.

Hey guys..

This is Anirban from Bangalore.. I just had my interview today, for the BBM course. It lasted for only about 15 minutes. They said they would get back to me in a while

Well, I'd be grateful if you could also post a few links to threads pertaining to SMU acceptances for 2006 if you knew any.. also, if you knew any yahoo/google/msn groups for SMU applicants for 2006, I'd be grateful..

as for my stats and stuff, here they are..

SAT 1 - 2110 (720 critical; 680 math; 710 writing)

10th board exams - 93% average (4 A1's ; 1 A2)

i think what kenyon said is true.. because NUS had this system too - anyone below 700 on any SAT II is automatically rejected

If i failed this time i will enter the bridging course.. help me with SAt. i am an indonesian, though i enter international school, but it is only 2 years and a half, improve in writing but not in CR.

anyway... i want to ask... Does SMU has a connection with wharton school ?. Does the degree comes from Upenn ? or we can go to Wharton from SMU ? anyone can clarify this ?...

You dream on lar... SMU has a connection with wharton but the degree still comes from SMU. The affilation/collaboration is to seek Wharton's help in modelling SMU's curriculum and style of teaching. It also helps them to employ some of the best profs in the world (credentials and things like that). You can only go to Wharton as an exchange student.

yeah.. thanks.. dream is over lahrr. hehehehe.. anyway, is smu bachelor's degree recoqnised in wharton ?. i mean if i want to pursue postbac degree in wharton, Is smu accredited by Wharton ?

Dude... There's no such things as "accredited by Wharton"... Universities are accredited usually by the country, not other institutions of higher learning. But with that said, gaining acceptance into Wharton depends a LOT of things actually. Your Professor's recommendations, your GPA and blah blah blah. Ultimately, it is YOU not where you attend college that matters more.

thx a lot.. kenyon .. are u from singapore" ?

Erm yeah, somewhere there... You heading to SMU? Which school?

school of accountancy, if i get it.. i should work more on SAT. i am not singaporean.
