i’d really rather take classes during school orchestra, we have it for a period every day. but there is this thing in new york state that you have to be in the school orchestra to go to all state, etc. but really, im Asian and almost every other Asian kid is in some form of orchestra.
and it’s really not that difficult to be in all-state, almost everyone knows it. and im not the concertmaster or anything. im just ok. but for the top colleges where almost every other Asian kid signs up for, is it really worth it (for someone that’s not the concertmaster) to say you were in all state or all eastern orchestra?
