I'm not sure if there is an official list somewhere, if there is I can't seem to find it, of all the documents us internationals have to submit when applying.
I know that schools each have these helpful things listed on their sites, but it would be good if we put together a list of things all schools require and how are we mailing them, translations etc.

Specific question: For all the ECs and other orgs that we're members of, should we get some sort of a confirmation that we really have been involved with the organization as we say we have, cause on the common app I don't see any option like that in the activities part?

1) Common Application or Universal College Application or College-Specific Application
2) College-Specific Supplement
3) Processing Fee
4) Secondary School Report (counselor recommendation, official transcripts, school profile)
5) International Supplement (some colleges require this)
6) Mid-Year Report
7) Teacher Evaluations 1 & 2
8) SAT or ACT Scores
9) SAT Subject Scores (if required by the college)
10) Optional Supplements (things like art/athletic supplements, science abstracts, etc.)
11) ED Agreements (if applying ED)

Edit: The above is for those who aren’t applying for financial aid.

No need for confirmation. Colleges expect you to be honest when listing your ECs. If they require confirmation, they’ll ask for it. Most explicitly state that you should refrain from sending collections of award certificates and the like.

About the mid year report thing? Is it necessary if we’ve already graduated?
Because Yale says they dont need to midyear report if you’ve already graduated at the time of application, but i dont know about other schools…

Usually the separate supplements are supposed to be either faxed or snailmailed, probs same goes for the Yale one too. Check on their site where they mention it they should also tell you how to go about sending it.

Q: We don’t have to fill the FAFSA even though schools require it right?

does anyone know WHEN we send in our mid-year report? (and what if our school is broken down into 3 trimesters…so term1 = nov, term2=april, term3=june ?) -__-

i got a deferral from UPenn, so, would the midyear report consist of just my nov. grades? -also, when applying Reg. Decision, do we mail the midyear report along with the secondary school report?

I think the secondary school report goes first and the midyear grades when they are available. In your case monkey I think your counselor could send separately the grades from the first trimester when they are available and then from the second one when those are available.
My school has quarters but we also have midyear grades which are basically the mean of the first and second quarter grades so those get sent out as my midyear report. Hope that was helpful! :)

Hey guys I’d like to ask you something regarding these documents
I’m from Brazil and out here the college admission process is quite differente so my teachers and my counselor were not used to it…What if they made some mistake while sending the letters or even the school report? Will it affect my admission chances? Thanks
