<p>I just realized that all the UC schools colors are the same (blue and gold). MIND-BLOWN.</p>
<p>How does anyone distinguish themselves apart at sports games when two UC schools are playing against each other?</p>
<p>Well the baby sister Bruins are “Powder Blue”. But away teams typically wear white anyways. Just a precaution in the case that both teams have similar colors.</p>
<p>Sports designate away/home color schemes (football: home team= school colors, away team= white), basketball: reverse).</p>
<p>I suppose it’s a bit hazy to distinguish in the audience whose rooting for who, but really, who are we kidding… The only UC’s with big time sports programs are UCLA and Cal, and both have different shades of blue (baby vs navy). Furthermore, lots of teams have blue/gold color combo’s… off the top of my head Michigan and WVU have the same colors as Cal.</p>
<p>UCB, UCLA, and UCR all have bears as their mascots.</p>
<p>Cal’s blue is actually Yale Blue.</p>
<p>Speaking of mascots, the Cal Bears have OSKI:)</p>
