When we first visited Allegheny in the summer I noted on my visit report that I found the student center cold and uninviting. However on a recent visit with students in session it gave a whole different feel. There were colorful posters advertising student events and clubs surrounding the second floor level. During the visit we saw first hand how flexible and useful the space an be and how lighting can change the mood per event.
My son did an overnight and he said at midnight on a Friday night the student center was packed with students.

By contrast a week later we visited another campus with a very nice campus but the student center did not have the same feeling like it really was a “Student” place to be.
Just wanted to correct our original observation of Allegheny.
