alll for yale. and i mean all.

got my sat ii's scores today. 740 on literature. now, i have no idea what the heck this score means. is lit like the other language tests where everyone gets 750+ and a 740 is not horrible but no where near good? my basic question is, to be a competitive applicant to yale (with no spectacular stats, so every little thing counts), what is the recommended score on lit?

thanks

Haha, a 740 is fine. I got a 740 and got into Yale. :)

740 sounds good.

I really don't think a score on one SAT2 test really means anything. I got an 800 on Lit but for example, my GPA sucks and I have yet to take the dreaded math 2c subject test...so, it's all part of a larger pic. and besides, don't say you're not spectacular :) attitude, ppl!!

what honeyhazel02 said. your lit score will not make you or break you for yale! i got 800 on lit and was deferred early, then rejected. anything can happen!

of course, i'm not hoping you'll get rejected. best of luck!

thanks guys!
