I've been trying to cut down my list to about ten or less schools.

If for some reason I don't get into Duke, I will try to stay optimistic about what happens...it is going to hurt like hell of course, but I'm not going to be surprised about a deferral.

i think that duke is such an impressive school that you shouldn't feel bad if you don't get in....or at least that's what i've been trying to tell myself. duke's reputation is outstanding, and if you dont get in that doesn't mean you aren't really smart or that you aren't going to do really well at some other college. dont worry about it.

I'm not applying to Duke but this can apply to any college, really

I've been avoiding reading about my early college...I've been looking into another college I'm applying to regular, so I won't obsess too much. I have a dozen more applications to finish so that helps me avoid obsessive thinking.

haha, i wish that we could find out earlier though...i REALLY dont feel like starting all of my other essays. all of the other schools i'm applying to accept the common application, but they all have supplements with additional essays!!

Same deal. But we gotta do what we gotta do. If only they made it a little simpler...make the regular apps due way later than the early one, so we wouldn't have to finish them all in vain if we get in early. It's just so hard to deal with.

yeah. i'm trying to stay focused on other stuff. other than college apps and homework, i've been trying to find new ways to keep myself busy... and that means not thinking about my ed college...

i find myself in a similar situation....i tried as hard as i could on my duke application, and now it's hard to motivate myself to do the other applications as thoroughly...one month! we've made it through 1/3 of the wait!
