Any ideas on what to expect?

What type of questions will I be asked? Should I just show up in a polo and slacks or be a little more formal?

Any tips overall?

Thank you! :)

I would go as formal as you are comfortable with and what would be consistent for your region. Be familiar with the admissions website, and prepared to answer why you want to go to the Academy and become an Air Force officer (other than being a pilot), including what sparked you interest, and what alternatives you are considering. You should be ready to discuss how you have demonstrated leadership, and how you have overcome adversity. Make eye contact, use Sir or Ma’am, and be yourself !

To echo what Gasdoc said, the purpose of the interview is two-fold. First, they want to know about your desires/reasons to go and what makes you different than someone else on paper. The other, bigger thing in my opinion though, is to get to know you. They want to see how you act, how you present yourself, and how you feel about yourself. I feel the way you give a response is perhaps more important than the words you say. They don’t want a canned response. They want a genuine answer that shares your desires and expresses who you are.

The biggest thing to do is to know why you want to go, and to relax and be yourself (which I do realize is easier said than done.) Best of luck!
