ALP exam

Hey,

Does anybody have any info on the ALP exam? I understand it’s a 90 minutes essay writing test. That’s a lot of time compared to SAT writing, so I suspect the essay must be a lot longer.

How different is the ALP compared to the SAT/TOEFL essays?

Cheers

Yo. Here you go.

Thanks, but I already saw that. I was hoping someone could provide more data and less assurances ;)

Haha my mistake man. Where are you from again? Think of it like a normal SAT essay test, however it is conducted by the University. You show up and have 90 mins to write an essay based on either of their choices. It is just a test to make sure you have basic grammar skills. Like it says, all non-English native speakers must take it. So unless you have really broken English, which from your posts I can tell you do not, you should not sweat it.

I’m from Israel, and I did fine on SAT writing so I’m fairly certain this won’t be a problem. But it’s always good to know what you’re up against.

Congrats on you admission!

Maybe you’ve seen this… if not, it could helpful.

I tried to find more on the ALP Exam (I’m also taking it), but people don’t write details about it.
