Hi guys, I did comprehensive research about Upenn's insurance plan requirements and contacted 7-8 companies. It comes out that only one company, PSI service, can satisfy the demanding requirements of Upenn's waiver of the expensive insurance plan of SHS.

If you wanna enroll in the PSI insurance. Please do remember to write to robert.honkisz@psiservice.com before submtting your payment, who is the account manager in charge of Upenn students. He will provide much more details than the website does about the plan tailored to the unique requirements of Upenn's SHS department. He will offer you some important tips, in addtion to detailed explanation of the PSI insurance plan's compliance with Upenn.

Anyway, it can save us over 1K. .......

Hope it helps!

Doesn’t apply to me, but that’s nice of you to post the info. Thanks.

This company only offers health insurance to International Students. (2010)

"While we do offer an insurance plan that enables international students and scholars to waive the PSIP at the University of Pennsylvania, we unfortunately strictly offer plans to those holding non-immigrant visas. In other words, as a student or scholar you would need to have either a F or J visa to be eligible to purchase one of our plans.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns or require further assistance."

I am still looking for an alternative program. Anyone who knows of a qualifying program, please post, thanks.

Hi,
I am looking for an alternative health insurance plan for Upenn and I see your post. I am wondering if you find any good alternative plan later. Thank you very much!
