As a current junior, I've pretty much exhausted my school's academic opportunities. For instance, I've ran out of math courses and next year, I'd like to take Calculus at our local university.
Sadly, I talked with its financial aid director this morning and found that financial aid is not available for high school students taking college courses.

Is there any way to get around this? Or any other options for "expanding" my courseload?

Talk to your councilor, because at my school we have something called a “Post-Secondary Option”. It basically means you go to the college, take college classes, get credit for both schools, and it is free. We can do a half day there, whole day, saturdays, whatever. It’s a pretty good option, and I bet your school has something like that.

If not, I’m not sure. I think it is the schools responsibility to have classes available for their students.
